so the previous day the very sweet girl,
ros came down to visit me at work again! : o she brought her friend
cat =^^=, along with a very very sweet hand written "Special J" postcard and apple crumble. awfully sweet~
i guess that's how one thing makes up for another. Wern couldn't come that day because he had a conference thing to attend, plus i had NRA later in the night. But he's so cute he's all excited about the tote bag and makeup that he's putting aside for me :D gahaha.
---
Spent the day out with wernboy today~ watched
army daze on his lappie, & its crazy how we eat breakfast at 4pm -___- Bused down to PS for
Wall.E! Been anxious about the show since seeing the trailer while watching CJ7 (?!) Maybe i held my expectations too high, it wasn't THATTT good, certainly didn't feel like 103 minutes, but it was cute and entertaining nonetheless. "wall-eeeeeee~~~"; "eeeevaaaaa!" we kept repeating that after the show, lol.
Walked around abit more for the little bits i was missing and needed for camp. Wern paid for everything yesterday because i'm just so damn broke. Yes, i know i work. I feel so horribly bad already ok? ):
see wern, i have to use this bad lighting photo cause you were making some face in the other photo -__- i'm missing you okay!
don't cry ):NRA camp today~ (28 ~30 Aug) I'm gonna be missing alot of people! but while that's happening, I really hope the camp would be a fun and fulfilling one, we would somehow improve, and that wtj would be brought closer once again, considering how much we've drifted in the past weeks ):
p/s: i want that magic bunny featured in the mini pixar film before wall.e! so cuteee! :3

was still working yesterday (and am at work as i'm typing this entry), met wern at bugis at eleven to have breakfast (which ended up being two scoops of venezia, heehaw) walked around abit before heading to Haji.
Talking about that, Ros♥ came to visit me the day before! She got me my favourite Kiwi Drink from Bugis Village again too :D
Rushed rushed after work for dinner at Triple3@Meritus Mandarin. It was apparently Mexican buffet, and i dont know my mexican foods :b hahahaha.
That's a rare picture of me and my Dad (who obviously ain't comfortable with self portraits).
It is pretty seldom that the entire family goes out for dinner, and i actually really enjoy it everytime we get together. We always don't treasure things until they're gone, or we always want things we don't have, isn't it?
The restaurant is buffet based, so it all depends on yourself how you want your meal to be. It's really your choice if you want desserts for appetizers -.- I got myself a salad.
yay~ i enjoyed it, being a salad monster. The best part of it was actually the herbed croutons, as weird as i sound :b along with it is seasoned spicy shreaded crabmeat (yum) and spiced salmon with avocado in the little cups :D
Next up, seafood! The oysters were pretty good~ known to serve good lobsters, the mini lobster's meat was also really sweet (though it poked me D:) Muscles Mussels were o-k-a-y, the claimed marinated herbed asparagus had no taste ):
I was craving for soup so i helped myself to a bowl of lobster bisque. So-so, looked really boring and it was just solid orange in colour so i skipped picture taking for that. Pretty interesting stuff for the next plate. Took a piece of chocolate glazed chicken, but didn't really like the taste of it. The freshly cut beef with gravy was good, good :D and that chinese looking dessert at the top is actually beef covered in sesame, topped with red bean paste. Is it really mexican? It was so-so to me, considering i'm not really a fan of minced beef patties :/
Now as i'm narrating it all, it suddenly seems like i ate just a little. Dessert already?! Saw my mom start on her ice cream so i went to the dessert corner too. Ended up with strawberry chocolate fondue, and a little cup of mango pudding.
I feel like i'm a potential victim to a cold now, my throat feeling extremely vulnerable to cough/sore throat with all the heaty stuff i'm consuming. ah well~
second round of dessert, chocolate praline, carrot hawal and cookie (which really wasn't dessert but an ice cream topping :b).
Ended off dinner with a hot cup of tea and tiny spoonfuls of all the dessert my sister and her boyfriend took back to the table, hahaha.
Oh, and happy birthday, dad.
---
just when i had my hopes high,
sighsighsigh. Why do some people just have it all.
sometimes i hate how everything just clashes.
i want to keep to my school/cca/work commitments,
and sometimes its so tough, and tiring.
and i'm not exactly what you call determined,
and as much as this "isn't related",
i'm just not rich enough. ah well, ah well.
stay rooted, be happy, juu.

first up...
I CAN CYCLE NOW! doesn't mean i dont crash and fall and errrr... i mean, just look at my expression and position in the photo. Obviously tensed and scared stiff, hah.
met Serene and Marinne at Bedok Interchange (we all unexpectedly turned up in red! :D) before we all made our way to East Coast Park together. We kinda stopped at the other end of the park so after going through the underpass, we walked for an hour or so before arriving at Subway -o-
at bedok~
we got bored along the way during our 1hour walk, hah!
so during lunch the topic of height and body parts surfaced and we decided to compare. Yes, I've got a long body and neck but short legs T___T
proceeded to rest a little, before renting bikes. serene was my papa, and marinne my mama for the day while i was learning how to cycle. I always had mixed responses when i tell people i can't cycle. Stuff like..
"You're Kidding"
"WHAT?! EVERYONE CAN CYCLE!"
"You don't have a childhood, juu"but now i can! both marinne and serene were awesome teachers, awfully patient and enthusiastic about having me to try it again and again. They also kept giving me live demos and saved me when i look like i'm going to crash. ♥
spent the first hour trying, afterwhich i could cycle a considerable distance!!! imagine my joy! stopped for abit at the rocks to rest a little and camwhore.
very suitable for emo portraits
for self portraits too~! haha, the breeze was really niceee :D
view from where i was ^^
continued shortly after, we cycled around on the path so it was relatively safe. It still scares the shit out of me when someone suddenly overtakes me from the back, or when i have to maneuver around others. I swear the whole time i'm on the bicycle i just grab the grips with all my might (which explains the pain and blisters around my hand web area now) It's quite an experience i must say, left me jittery and aching right after i got off the tiny vehicle. While i was learning it i suddenly learnt to appreciate running/jogging a whole lot more, shall do that next week (which reminds me, there's NRA camp -.-)
so cute~ mini carousel
slacked at McCafe for abit, boyf came down! :D the girls had ice cream at New Zealand's Natural afterwhich before we headed to the rocks again. Sitting there is really quite calming, i would do that again -- just sitting there by the rocks, breeze in your hair, talking about everything or just not thinking about anything at all.
had an enjoyable day, we all left at around 10, spotting a very low orange moon along the way.
thank you girls!
and wern! (i look like shittttt but i like how he looks here so HAH)
it's really been a while since i spent a day like this (:

so yesterday was the somewhat the unofficial "last" day for sem 1.1 mass communication students. went to submit our locvid final project after Medsoc Exam (which was okay, considering the amount i "studied"). We're free! :D c'mon c'mon call me out, haha.
caught up with jying for a bit while waiting for Carylyne to finish digitizing. The other lovelies waited at cheers even though we took about an hour! aww :3 Awesome Viks decided on Mad Jack along Dunearn Road and so off we went! (Jonathan gladly offered a ride, so that's 8 of us in a car! shhh!)
Mad Jack~
the foosball machine outside
menu~
was craving for a burger, so i ordered simple Beef Burger with Chips. It was only $5, so this place goes under "very affordable". The entire table decided on having cheese fries to share as an appetizer.
apparently this is a measly portion, it looked ALOT better last time. Oh well, to me, it didn't taste all that good and it was $4.80 :/ Glad it came first, and it was still steamin' hot :D
During the ordering process, there was this hoohaa about a drink called "Fruit of the Forest" because it was rated "XMad" on the menu. Huishan and Carylyne decided to try it out~
verdict: Definitely not XMad and not worth $3.80? I didn't try the purple concoction, but most of the table agreed there was no taste :S
Food started coming in, my burger~!
thought it looked pretty good, then i saw Vik's burger.
BWAHAHAHHA VIK'S POWERFUL BLUE MOUNTAIN BURGER!
The food there is okay if you're not a picky eater i guess. I didn't exactly like how the beef in the burger was done, so i probably won't ever eat that if i went back to Mad Jack's. I actually really want the one at Shokudo......
group pictures~ Still my favourite group of people~ <3
>Desert! We walked across the street to Serene Centre for some
Island Creamery!
huishan the shaggy; HAHAHA
this is cute~ udders :3
obviously in love with the lil sign, Viks took it along.
i'm sorry~ but i really like this picture. huishan's so cute here, hahaha.
za snapped this picture of me, and that's when i saw my hair color. Tell me it doesn't really look that way in real life T__T
---
celebrated our 6th monthsary on sunday~
yaaa :3
post ziggy in his new clothes if not later everyone say i only love boyf, don't love my dog anymore =p
p/s: ziggy is a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel but he looks like a JRT(or some other dog -.-) in this picture because he just came back from a grooming session and my mom told the groomer to shave off all his fur, even his lovely perms at his ears T__T till it grows out again~ hahaha
p/p/s: I'm blogging so on time! :D
